i hear you.
I have been thinking about how I haven't been on a walk-about on the Savannah tracks in a long while. My friends and I like to walk the line collecting old spikes and checking out the villages alongside....The locomotive is a railway vehicle that provides power for a train. This word is from the Latin words loco, "from place" and motivus, "causing motion". The locomotive's sole purpose is to move the train along the tracks, it doesn't have any load of its own. The operators of the locomotives have a whistle, which is an audible signal used to warn that this train is approaching, as well as to communicate with the rail workers. The train whistle was a form of "expression" put into sound. The locomotive operators often had their own style of blowing the whistle that would identify them...........think it is time to take a walk.
