Everlasting...

I am working on a garden outside my new apartment. So, I have been doing alot of plant research... I just happen to come across this very interesting genus....

HELIChrysum.

It is derived from the Greek words helisso (to turn around) and chrysos (gold). What I find quite special about a smaller genera the Everlastings, when cut and dried, the open flowers and stalks preserve their colour and shape.

When I was little my aunt dried flowers to sell at the local market. I guess I had not realized the spectacular event of never ending until now.
