Electrify...to DO or NOT to DO....

This newspaper clipping is from 1938. I found it on a Saturday walkabout of Savannah's Historic District. It was unearthed from a little hide away below a flight of stairs to an abandoned house.

It reads.....

"The housewife who tries to do all her work the old-fashioned, hard-way-by hand- soon gets left behind by this speeded-up present day world of ours. And when life can be so much fun why pass it up by sticking to needless drudgery!"

"When you Electrify your home you get rid of all the old backbreaking tasks; cleaning, ironing, sewing, cooking....."
